Online stream down but on air is fine

If FM or DAB is fine but the online stream is silent or won't load, the fault is somewhere after the studio: the stream encoder, the internet connection or the streaming server.

1. Try the stream yourself on two devices, or ask someone elsewhere: is it down for everyone?
2. Check the stream encoder is running and connected. Most show a status light or "connected" message.
3. Check the studio internet connection is up.
4. If the encoder and internet are fine, the streaming provider may have a problem. Check their status page, or raise a ticket with them.

Note the time it went down: listen figures and any advertising obligations may need it.
